CT Kranservice takes delivery of new Demag AC 100-4L

Göppingen-based CT Kranservice needed a compact telescopic crane with the longest possible main boom in order to set up its construction cranes in urban areas. “We already had an AC 220-5 in our fleet, and it has worked out so great that this played an important role in our decision to get a Demag® AC 100-4L,” explains crane operator Renato Krznaric, who picked up the crane together with the driver of the corresponding escort truck, Jakob Stiben. The new machine was handed over by Tadano Demag Sales Manager Michael Zieger.

It almost seems as though the AC 100-4L were engineered specifically for CT Kranservice’s needs: With a 60-meter main boom and a maximum system length of over 80 meters, it can help set up even large construction cranes without a problem. In addition, its compact design makes it perfect for work sites where space is tight. The innovative IC-1 Plus control system is particularly helpful within this context, as it enables the crane to carry out heavy lifts even with its outriggers deployed in an asymmetrical configuration. “In addition, the four-axle unit has the perfect axle load distribution, meaning that we can usually drive it without the need for a special permit,” Renato Krznaric mentions as another advantage behind the AC 100-4L before pointing out another reason why the unit is now his favorite: “It’s a Demag – and I simply love the brand,” he confesses.
