New Demag AC 100-4L for Leggat Plant
Established more than 140 years ago, Scotland’s crane hire company, Leggat Plant Ltd., continues to invest in its fleet with the addition of a new Demag® AC 100-4L all terrain crane. The new 100 t (120 USt) capacity crane boasts one of the largest system lengths of all 4-axle units on the market and a compact chassis of only a 2.55 m (8.4 ft) wide — the same as a standard truck. Leggat Plant has already put the all terrain crane to work on several projects in the Glasgow area.
According to Leggat Plant Managing Director, Eddy Donaghy, his company has a long-standing relationship with Terex Cranes UK because of the level of quality and innovation of Terex and Demag cranes. “Our crane fleet is almost exclusively supplied by Terex Cranes. Terex and Demag cranes have proven to be reliable, versatile and deliver a high return-on-investment. We also receive wonderful support.”
With a 59.4 meter (194.9 ft) long main boom and total system length of 81.7 meters (268 ft), Leggat Plant’s crews can work at a broad range of lifting heights with the Demag AC 100-4L crane. Also, equipped with the Demag IC-1 Plus control system that determines the crane’s lifting capacity for every position of the boom in real time, this crane can handle lifts usually done with larger crane models.
“We would like to extend our gratitude to everyone at Leggat Plant for ordering this new Demag AC 100-4L crane,” said Lyle Sibbald, regional sales manager for Terex Cranes.” Leggat Plant has been a great supporter of our company, and we are sure this new crane will be a great addition to their fleet.”
