New Demag AC 100-4L for Mikschl Autokrane

Crane service provider Mikschl, which is headquartered in the Bavarian town of Aichach, is expanding its three-unit Demag fleet: The company put a new Demag® AC 220-5 all terrain crane into service last year and has already followed that up with a Demag® AC 100-4L, which is actually not the first one. In fact, Mikschl had already operated an AC 100-4L for several years before. “We were so happy with the crane, and especially with the way it had the reliability and quality that are typical of Demag, that ordering the exact same model again was the obvious choice,” reported crane operator Thomas Jung, who picked up the crane together with co-worker Thomas Ovsiak in Zweibrücken. The crane was handed over by Terex Cranes Sales Manager Thomas Keckeis, who is obviously delighted with his customer’s longtime loyalty to the Demag brand.

In addition to the crane’s reliability, General Manager Roland Mikschl points to its maneuverability and compact design as additional decisive factors in his purchase decision. “These characteristics keep paying for themselves over and over again – especially when it comes to projects in and around Munich. The AC 100-4L has enabled us to easily take care of countless jobs there that would have been simply impossible with any other crane. And to tell you the truth, I’m really excited to see just what kind of performance it can deliver in this type of job with the new IC-1 Plus control system.” “In one word: extraordinary,” Thomas Keckeis replies with absolute certainty. “After all, the IC-1 Plus control system makes it possible to use asymmetrical outrigger configurations together with the maximum available lifting capacity of our cranes when working in cramped spaces.”
