New Demag AC 60-3 all terrain crane for H & S Autokran

After its positive experience with the AC 50 and AC 80 Demag models, it was only natural for Wildeck-based H & S Autokran from the German federal state of Hesse to decide to acquire a brand new Demag® AC 60-3. Crane operator Michael Schmidt played a crucial role in the purchase decision and picked up the new machine together with H & S General Manager Matthias Schug and his wife Cindy in Zweibrücken. The crane was handed over by Senior Manager Christian Kassner and Sales Manager Manfred Droesser.
“The 50-meter-long main boom, together with the compact design, was the main factor that made us choose the AC 60-3,” says Matthias Schug when explaining the reasons behind his purchase decision. Moreover, the innovative IC-1 Plus control system, the large lifting capacity, and the best-in-class system length of up to 56 meters with an axle load of twelve tonnes also played a part in the decision. It also helped that the Demag AC 60-3 was on the wish list of its operator, Michael Schmidt, who will be using it primarily for industrial assembly jobs, including machinery relocation projects for the mining industry and general maintenance and servicing work. Moreover, he will also be operating the new machine for steel construction projects on a regular basis: “This is also one place where we often have to deal with tight space conditions, and that’s precisely where the AC 60-3 can really shine with its advantages, including its combination between a compact design, a long boom, and a large lifting capacity,” Michael Schmidt says while already looking forward to his first job with the new crane.
